Operation

Fish are harvested from the ponds and are bought into the recirculating system.

They are kept there for 7 days and taste tested prior to final harvest / processing.

Fish are distributed to Sydney and Newcastle and are marketed as ‘Barrington Perch’.

Fish are delivered to the Sydney Fish Markets and Retail / Home Delivery Clients in the Northern Suburbs of Sydney in the refrigerated van.

  • The aquaculture operation is easily operated and highly automated.
  • The safe food licensed processing room gives ample opportunity to value add
  • Expansion can be easily attained. There is enough land and water to double the production / carrying capacity.
  • Ponds are designed and built to EPA specifications and can be fully gravity drained into an effluent pond. Water from this pond is then used to irrigate either cattle paddocks or the olive grove. Alternatively it can be drained back through gravel filter beds to the main reservoir dam.
