Transylvania Winery, established 27 years, is the highest operational winery in the Australia, located 850 metres above sea level in the cold climate wine growing region of south east NSW.  The wine production from the 3 hectare (7.5 acre) vineyard  takes advantage of the unique arid Australian, alpine climate and employs scientifically based yet natural and ‘organic’ vineyard methods to produce a variety of red and white wines.  The process used (traditional to Transylvania) is organic and chemical free.  Transylvania Winery is also the only producer of the rare and sweet ‘icewine’ with a nose of lychee nuts, taste of tropical fruits, with shadings of peach nectar and mango and a clean, dry finish.  There is also a 3 hectare (7.5 acre) orchard producing sour cherries for production of cherry brandy liqueurs.

The winery, constructed of local granite with rustic timber ceilings, has all facilities and equipment to make and store wines and liqueurs.
